Brodies is the Scottish headquartered law firm offering clients the largest specialist legal resource in Scotland, delivering services of the highest quality to Scottish, UK and global organisations.

Working with Keppie Design, Style was chosen to create flexible space in the boardroom of Brodies’ new Glasgow office – a real showcase environment for clients with magnificent views over the city skyline.

DORMA Variflex was the ideal solution – a semi-automatic, moveable partitioning wall which delivered a phenomenal 60dB acoustics, making this the highest acoustic specification ever installed by Style into an office in Scotland.

“Flexibility is key in business if you are going to create a great and future-proof working environment for your staff and clients,” said Bill Drummond, Brodies’ managing partner.

“The move to our new offices in Glasgow had to achieve this goal of flexibility and Style Partitions really helped us to bring alive our vision for a modern, flexible, discrete and inspiring professional services office at the heart of Scotland’s largest city.”

David Louden, Style’s director for Scotland, added, “This is a stunning boardroom which can adapt quickly, opening up into one large area or being rapidly divided into two separate meeting rooms.

“The beautiful graphite finish on the acoustic boards provides stunning interior design, and when the wall is in place this virtually sound-proofed solution means staff and clients can enjoy complete privacy.”

Style is the exclusive UK partner for DORMA, and its Variflex product range includes acoustic moveable walls up to 14.5m high. The panels are manufactured separately to the frame, which means Dorma Variflex has interchangeable panels which are easy to change if one is damaged or scuffed, or the interior design of a room changes later on.
