Craftsmanship is Key as Style is Chosen for High Profile Clientele

Style’s craftsmanship, attention to detail, service standards and project management are becoming key factors in the company being specified for many architects’ highest profile clients.

According to Julian Sargent, group managing director, when it comes to the top jobs for the top clients, nothing can be left to chance and Style’s quality sees them appointed time and again.

“All architects have their prize clients and when they require a moveable partitioning wall it is not only vital that the product is of the highest quality, the installation must be as well,” said Julian.
“For this reason, we’re more than often seen as the safest pair of hands due to our track record and award winning team, and through our in-house team we can also help with the design process to offer a range of solutions, all using market leading products, and looking at options not only to provide functionality but often a sense of panache as well.”

Style recently installed Dorma Variflex into the headquarters of global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

With a 55dB Rw rating and semi-automatic seal operation, the main feature of this moveable wall was its high-end stretch fabric and leather finish which had a chequered design to match the office interior. (Visit the Case Studies section of Style’s web site to read more).

“It takes phenomenal skill to install a system like this,” said Julian. “However we employ the finest technicians in the country and have spent many years investing in their training, and an overall culture within Style that quality is everything.”

Style has won the AIS Contractors Gold Award four years in succession and is accredited to UKAS standards for ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health & Safety Management System.

Style Introduces New Skyfold Classic 55

Skyfold has launched a new vertically rising acoustic partitioning wall, adding to its market leading portfolio.

Building on the success of the Skyfold Classic NR and Skyfold Classic Elite, a new Classic 55 provides 55 STC (Rw 54dB) acoustic performance. This is achieved through improvements to the panels, and by using the end seals (with acoustic insulation) from the Elite system.

This is an exciting development for Style who is the sole UK distributor for the Skyfold range, and enhances the company’s overall proposition to architects, specifiers, contractors and end user clients.

“The new Classic 55 is an outstanding mid price, mid range product sitting in between the existing Skyfold Classic (Rw 51dB) and Skyfold Classic Elite (Rw 56dB),” said Efrem Brynin, Style’s Skyfold Product Manager.
“Ideal for boardrooms, conference centres, theatres and other rooms in the corporate, hotel, local authority or education sectors, a key feature is that it is particularly beneficial for larger walls, because it can be installed in rooms up to a height of 11 metres.”
The Classic 55 retains all the hallmarks of the Skyfold range, with pushbutton automatic activation, effortless and silent operation, and an extensive range of stunning finishes. To ensure clients receive products quickly and efficiently, also available is the Skyfold “Quick Ship Programme”.

For products with a standard factory finish, which includes fabric, vinyl, standard five Firestone coloured steels, stainless steel and Lampre writing board, delivery times can be accelerated for priority orders.

Style Launches New Technical Drawings Library Content

Style has introduced a new section to its web site containing a technical drawings library. Enabling architects to download Style’s range of moveable partitioning walls in DWG or PDF format is a significant enhancement to Style’s online service, and has been introduced to support the fast growing number of specifications it is receiving.

As sole UK distributor for DORMA, Skyfold and SWG, Style offers a broad range of operable walls, from practical low cost solutions through to high end systems popular with many major city corporates.

Architects and specifiers wishing to use the service should visit the new “Architects Area” on the web site accessed via the tab at the top of the screen.

“Our technical section has taken significant time and investment to develop,” said Julian Sargent, Style’s group managing director.
“However, it is something we have been asked for by our customers, and we pride ourselves in responding to their feedback. It also provides an invaluable service to any architect seeking a moveable partitioning wall, irrespective of how large or small the project is.
“Style prides itself on the breadth of its products and installations, which range from simple folding walls for community centres and schools, through to vertically rising, fully automatic acoustic systems in the boardrooms of global brands such as PwC and the Royal Bank of Canada,” continued Julian.
“We also installed the largest ever moveable wall in Europe at the ExCel exhibition centre, which won us our most recent AIS Contractors Gold award.”

Style has also now signed an agreement with RIBA, and during the coming weeks Style’s products will be included within NBS+ as well as www.product selector.com to further enhance its aim to make details readily available to architects and specifiers.

New Web Page Dedicated to Style’s CPD Seminars

Information about Style’s RIBA Approved CPD Seminars on the topics of “Multi-functional space” and “Fully automatic vertically rising acoustic partition systems” can now be accessed from Style’s web site, by visiting the “Architects Area” linked to via the tab at the top of the screen.

Full details of these popular workshops can also be downloaded as PDF files from this section.

“Our CPD seminars continue to be extremely popular,” said Mike Fine, Style’s director for the Midlands.
“Both seminars are available nationally, by contacting any of our five regional Style offices, and come complete with literature, a copy of the presentation on CD and our acoustics check list – a very handy guide to ensuring installations meet the required acoustic standard.”

Style has built an outstanding reputation for the quality of its products, processes and people and the content of the CPD courses reflects this. Specifications continue to soar as demand rises for the range of DORMA, Skyfold and SWG moveable partitioning walls that Style offers.

“Positive word of mouth between architects has seen the frequency of CPD seminars we deliver grow,” said Mike. “And the feedback is always extremely strong by those who attend.”
